Meta (WhatsApp)

Connect Meta: app credentials, authorized WABA/phoneNumberId, access token, signature app secret and a distinct verify token.

Before you start

  • A Meta app with the WhatsApp product.
  • An authorized WABA and phone number id, an access token and the app secret.

Steps

  1. Connect the app

Enter the app credentials and the authorized WABA/phoneNumberId resources.

  2. Separate the secrets

The signature app secret and the handshake verify token are distinct fields.

  3. Verify

A shared resource does not require one key per number when it is legitimately shared.

Expected result

An incoming WhatsApp message reaches the agent and the reply goes out with the correct business identity.

Errors and solutions

  • Handshake fails

The verify token here is distinct from the signature secret; check both fields.

  • Signature rejected

Compare the raw body and the app secret against the official Cloud API docs.
